之前看了菲律賓電影100 Tula Para Kay Stella（給史戴拉的100封情書），覺得男主角太帥了，長年堅持寫情書，整整寫了一百封啊。
最近在Netflix 看另一部菲律賓電影My Amanda（我的亞曼達）.男主角更強，寫了1001封情書給Amanda. 菲律賓人還真是浪漫呢！
受此兩部Tagalog電影影響，我也來研究研究英文情書，英文程度不好，先用抄的送給她吧。
看著書名，心想如果有一本收錄臺灣詩人寫的情詩，書名或許是：愛是一叢叢澎湖仙人掌：臺灣經典情詩選。這樣才有在地特色嘛。
扯遠了，這本書選的情詩大多是很久遠年代的詩人或文豪寫的，很多單字看不太懂。
在此挑了我還可理解的五首短詩：
1.I throw the apple.
I throw the apple; if thou love me true
Take it and give what willing maidens do
But if thy thoughts be other than I pray.
Take't all the same and think how things decay.
2. First date
When you race home from school,
With your hair all askew,
You've loads of revision
And homework to do,
When all that is finished,
Your shampoo your hair,
Then dry it, and style it,
With slow loving care,
You've barely got time,
For a quick bite to eat,
Before you can change,
Into something quite neat,
But it's got to look modern,
And feminine too,
Then when you've changed,
There's your make-up to do,
And now that your face,
Is looking just right,
You glance in the mirror,
Wow, What a sight!
He'll never resist you,
You don't think he'll try,
Your heart beats loudly,
Your spirits run high,
You look out the window,
He's there at gate,
And you hurry downstairs,
To your very first date.

4.A former love

head tossed high,

steals softly into my breast.
I feel I must lay my hands on
Your forehead with a prayer.
