這本看完很久了一直沒寫心得，因為看完其實蠻失望的，以往看CoHo的小說都會有一些意想不到的情節或是反轉，相較這下這本偏平淡無奇。此書在講一個剛犯下過失殺人罪的單親媽媽想要見自己未曾謀面的女兒（由男友雙親扶養）而隱姓埋名搬到男友生長的小鎮⋯想盡辦法想要「認識」親生女兒卻遇到重重困難。
雖然故事不怎麼樣，但裡面有段話看了很有感觸 ”Life can be so fucking cruel and hard, and i’ve wanted to quit living it so many times; but then moments like these remind me that happiness isn’t some permanent thing we’re all trying to achieve in life, it’s merely a thing that shows up every now and then, sometimes in tiny doses that are just substantial enough to keep us going. “
